Quote of the week:
"Enthusiasm is contagious. It's difficult to remain neutral
or indifferent in the presence of a positive thinker.'
Denis Waitley

The attitude of a guerrilla towards marketing is dramatically
different from that of a non-guerrilla, which is why customers
of guerrillas feel blessed to be customers. The reality is that
90 percent of life itself is attitude. And even more than 90
percent of marketing is attitude. You must have the insight to
know that your attitude must come shining through in all of your
marketing. It will come across by what you say, how you say it,
where you say it and how frequently you say it.
Here are five attitudes you shouldn't leave home without!
***************************************************
1. Outwardness: Inward focus works against you when it
comes to marketing. Save that for your analyst's couch,
and shine your light outward bound when you're marketing.
The insight you require is the knowledge that your marketing
is not about you. It is not about your business. It is not about
your product or your service. It's about the most important
person in your business life--your customer.
2. Organization: It seems a bit strange to consider your attitude
about being organized as an attitude that leads to successful
marketing. But the better organized you are, the more your
marketing will flourish. Being organized also means
being neat. The premises at your store, office, home-based
business -- wherever customers may visit -- speak eloquently
about your business, whether you like it or not. Organization
leads to efficiency which leads to, you guessed it-- profits.
3. Enthusiasm: This attitude fuels the fires of marketing, and
passion is the highest expression of enthusiasm. This enthusiasm,
which should be borne of product knowledge, must be honest,
fervent and apparent. It automatically arises when you're
genuinely excited about what your product or service can do for
your prospects and what it has done for your customers.
4. Exceptional Service: Guerrillas render exceptional service,
but that's not what makes them so special and that's not what
their customers really notice and point out to their friends.
Instead, it's that guerrillas have to render extraordinary service.
They do it not because it's in their service manuals, but because
it's in their nature, part of their DNA.
5. Credibility: The insight is that every bit of your marketing
either builds upon your credibility or detracts from it. Knowing
that, you must adopt an attitude that reflects credibility for your
business and yourself. Like it or not, your credibility will be
influenced by the tone of your voice, the clothes that you wear,
the way your phone is answered, the look of your marketing
materials, the places those materials are seen, your ability to
keep up with the times, your stationery, your business cards,
absolutely everything communicated by you or members of your
business. Credibility leads to confidence which is the number
one reason prospects chose one company over another.

ACTION IDEA:
Review the above list of attitudes and score each one from 1-10
(1 means it needs a lot of attention). This week do at least one thing
to improve an area needing attention.
